The Ninth Plan (1997-2002 or 2054-2059) encompassed the principle of sustainable resource management. Some major objectives of Ninth Plan with regard to environment sector were:

 

a) integrated approaches for development and environment and environment, national provision of national resource conservation, scientific forest management, pollution control programs, etc.

b) These issues are also considered in Tenth Plan (2002-07 or 2059-2064) for sustainable environmental and development in the country.

c) These issues are also strongly focused in eleventh three year interim plan (2007-2010 or 2064- 2067) for sustainable environmental and development in the home country Nepal to check climate change, the burning issues.

c) These issues are also considered in 12 th plan for promotion, conservation and utilization of agricultural biodiversity developing appropriate technology to cope with climate change.
