  • As a Union, IUCN seeks to influence, encourage and assist the societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.
  • The IUCN has been developing partnerships with various government line agencies as well as NGOs to carry forward it activities to conserve natural resources and ecological processes.

 

 

World Wildlife fund for Nature (WWF)

  • WWF’s objectives is to work for nature conservation. Its future plan and programmes are to integrate conservation and development by safeguarding the rich and varied bio-diversity of the world.
  • The WWF entered Nepal about 30 years ago to conserve endangered species and promoting programmes to help build a world in which humans can live in harmony with nature.
