Verbal communication
- Refers to communication in the form of words i.e. spoken and written.
- Oral communication is the easiest and most widely used communication.
- In face-to-face communication, doubts, clarification, explanations, and questions can be asked and answered at once.
- Effective oral communication calls for certain principles for effective communication such as clarity, brevity, precision, conviction, logical sequence, good vocabulary, and completeness.
- On average a person spends about 70-80% of their active life time on communication verbally: speaking, listening, reading, writing.
