Fundamental question for planning process

Two broad questions asked during the planning exercise because it does not move with the preconceive package

1. What thought the household/community has made to further improve its condition
2. What constraint are standing on the way to materialize the thought

Preparation before planning exercise

1. Village technicians from each block identified and trained
2. Whole VDC re divided in 4-5 block based on geographic condition and natural resource related to the adjacent village organization
3. Block level schedule set for productive physical infrastructure (PPI) need assessment meeting
4. Information in advance disseminated for presence of at least one member from each household, VDC officials from concerned ward and all the CO chairperson and managers in the block
5. Technicians with equipment
6. Forms and sheets for the data collection

At first, training is organized for all chairperson, mangers, village specialist, and VDC officials on participatory planning. It helps them understand how

• Each household could identify range of opportunities and priorities them
• VO could prepare plan on community infrastructure and priorities such plan
• The plan prepared thus could be aggregated at VO and VDC level
• The plan could be linked to VDC plan
• VOs could explore resources and mobilize them to implement the plan
