Damaging stage:- Nymp and adult
Damaging symptoms –
- sap-sucking , honey
- Vector of citrus greening and die–back.
- No diapause stage – premature fruit drop,twisted young shoot ,rosette
Identification:-
- Egg:- Yellow cluster, the tip of the growing shoot.
- Nymph:- Orange–yellow in
- Adult:- Head light brown wings are transparent and white spots.
Management :
- Predator:- ladybird beetle, wasp, lacewing, spider.
- Effectiveness of insecticide Novaluron > Azadiracti dimethoate > Verticillium lecanii> Petroleum spray oil > Abamectin.
- Novaluron 10 EC (0.005%) and Azadiractin 1% ( 004%) are best insecticides for reducing psylla.
- Seeding produced in nurseries above 1300
- Metasytor 25%, 10m /Lit, DImethoate 30% 10 mol/lit
