Marketing vs selling:

i) marketing is wider and dynamic than selling.

ii) marketing resolves around the need and interest of the buyers whereas selling is fulfilling the needs and interest of sellers.

iii) selling starts with the products but marketing starts with the customers presence  and potential need to meet the needs of the customers by producing and supplying products and services that would exactly meet the needs of the customers and

iv) Marketing though seeks profit but not through aggressive pushing of the product but by meeting the needs of customers and by creating value satisfaction while selling seeks profit by pushing the products on the buyers.
