Community Biodiversity Register (CBR)
- Records are kept in a register book developed by community members to document their biodiversity and traditional knowledge and ways for its management.
Objectives of CBR
i) Record inventory linked with livelihood.
ii) Record database useful to farmers.
iii) Document traditional and local knowledge.
iv) Monitor the status of local genetic resources.
v) Create a sense of ownership.
vi) Protection from biopiracy.
