Method of application :
a) Broadcasting : Basal application and top dressing.
b) Drilling : Seed drill machine.
c) Foliar application : Nitrogen and micro-nutrients like zinc.
d) Fertigation.
Water Management :
- It is grown under rainfed condition by use of residual moisture of preceding
- However , wheat crop needs water when soil moisture falls 50 % of field capacity.
- It requires 3-5 irrigation at different critical stages.
- Pre-sowing irrigation should be done if there is very low residual moisture.
- Under irrigated condition , irrigation water should be applied during following stages.

Note : CRI is the most critical stage for water requirement. Delay in irrigation at CRI reduces the yield of the crop.
