Weed management :
- It is not generally practiced in Nepal.
- However , if weeds are not managed at early stage of crop , yield reduces by 10-40 %.
Weed management method :
- It includes prevention , eradication and control methods.
- Manual and mechanical weeding should be done at 20 & 40 DAS.
- Weeding in line sowing wheat is easier than broadcasted wheat.
Chemical control method of weed :
- Water requirement :400-600 litres/ ha or 14-20 litres per kattha.
- Sprayer : Knapsack sprayer , foot sprayer.
- Nozzle : Multi-boom noozle , flat fan nozzle.
