Banana skipper ( Erionata thrax thrax, Hesperiidae, Lepidioptere)

Damaging stage:- larva

Damaging symptoms:- Cut and roll the leaf from the tip along the midvein, forming a tunnel and feeding within this shelter .

Identification:-

• Egg:- Yellowish, lower part of the leaf
• Larva:- Grayish green to pale green which covered with short silky and white powdery
• Pupa:- present in rolled leaf 
• Adult: The wings of this moth are dark brown with prominent translucent yellow patches and the hind wings are dark brown .

Management:-

• Egg parasitoid :- Trichogramma
• Larva parasitoid :- Cotesia
• Pupal parasitoid:- Xanthopimpla,xanthopimpla regina,tachinidae.
• Bacillus thuringiensis based formulation @ 3-0.6 kg /ha
