Damaging stage:- larva
Damaging symptoms:- Cut and roll the leaf from the tip along the midvein, forming a tunnel and feeding within this shelter .
Identification:-
- Egg:- Yellowish, lower part of the leaf
- Larva:- Grayish green to pale green which covered with short silky and white powdery
- Pupa:- present in rolled leaf
- Adult: The wings of this moth are dark brown with prominent translucent yellow patches and the hind wings are dark brown .
Management:-
- Egg parasitoid :- Trichogramma
- Larva parasitoid :- Cotesia
- Pupal parasitoid:- Xanthopimpla,xanthopimpla regina,tachinidae.
- Bacillus thuringiensis based formulation @ 3-0.6 kg /ha
- Spray thiodane 35% EC @ 1m /Lit
