Damaging symptoms:
- hopper burn or yellowing, browning ,and drying of plant

- plants with ragged stunt or grassy stunt virus.
Identification
- Egg:- female laying egg inside the sheath by lacerating the plant tissue.
- Nymph:- Brownish black iaving grayish blue eyes.
- Adult :-brown color
Life cycle
Egg—> 5-8 days—> nymph—> 10-15 days—-> adult
Management
- Laval parasitoid like pseudognatopus
- Predato : green-mired bug, carabid beetl , lady beetle
- Light trap, rice and soybean (intercrop) ,transplanting older see .
- Chloropyrifus 20% Ec @2ml/l
- Buprofenin 25%Ec @ 1g/l, it’s contact inhibitor
