Damaging symptoms: feed lower surface of leaves, complete defoliation of leaf in severe condition.

Identification

• Egg: underside of the leaf
• Larva: greenish and smooth and black spot on each setae/Abdomen
• Pupa: soil, leaves
• Adult: Brown in color, black spot, and black lining in forewings.

Management

• Plough the infested fields after harvest to kill the
• Dislodge the caterpillars into keratinized water by drawing a rope across the young
• Larva lparasitoids:              Litomastix             gopimobani (Encyrtidae), Tricholyga sorbillans and Sisyropa Formosa (Tachinidae).
