Lemon butterfly ( Papilio demoleus , Papilionidae, Lepidoptera ) Damaging stage :- larva

Damaging symptoms: – Feeding young and tender leaf defoliation.

Identification:-

  • Egg:- Yellow, laying tender shoot, leaf  singly
  • Larva: – Light green in
  • Pupa:- Light green in color, hanging on stem, wall
  • Adult: – Black with yellow marking, both thorax and abdomen are yellow laterally and black dorsally and ventrally

Management:-

  • Hand pickling 
  • Egg parasitoid :- trichogramma
  • Bacillus thuringiensis (Biolep, Dipel ) @ 5 gm /L
  • Larva parasitoid: Bracon Cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus.
  • used of jhol-mol
  • Malathion 50% EC 05%
