Identification
- Egg: white, flat and

- Pupa: Most pupation occurs in the top layer of soil beneath cotton
- Adult: ark brown body, numerous black spots on wings, frings are present on both forewings and hindwings. Vegetation is found in hind wings .
Management
- Early maturing variety preferred
- Destruction of offseason cotton sprouts /alternate
- Acid delinted
- Balanced
- Pheromones traps and light
- Trichogramma @150000 weekly
- Avoid rationing.
- Seed fumigation
- Chloropyriphos @1-2 ml/l.
