Identification
- Egg:- creamy white sp herical egg
- Larvae – pinkish brown with a pink head
- Pupa:- brown in color pupation ococcursn the stem of the plant
- Adult:- straw color forewing with dark brown longitudinal streak and hind wings are white in color.
Management
- Trichogramma chilonsis (egg parasitoid)
- Bacillus thuringenesis (dipel, biolep)@3g/l at evening hr
- Napier grass/elephant grass as a catch crop
- Sudan grgrass–traprop
- Sliver lea (Desmodium uncinatum)-commercial legumes when intercropped with maize, repel ovipositing stem borer.
