Plant Protection Rules, 2066 (2010)

Date of publication in Nepal Gazette 2066/12/09 (22 March 2010). After Nepal as member of WTO, the Plant Protection Act 2029 and Rules 2031 were not functional and another Plant Protection Act 2064 and Rules 2066 were implemented.

Seeds Act, 2045 (1988)

The date of the Royal Seal and the Publication is 2045-7-10 B.S. (26 Oct 1988 A.D.) Prohibition on the sale of seeds treated with pesticides is the Seeds treated with pesticides shall not be sold for another purpose except for Agricultural Activities and for the purpose as prescribed.

Pesticide Act, 2048 (1991)

According to the Pesticide Act, 2048 (1991) Pestide is defined as ‘Pesticides shall mean the poisonous chemicals (pesticides) used for killing or destroying the harmful pests that appear in seeds, plants, trees, animals, fowls, etc.
