- Recent document of government of Nepal, Agri Development strategy (2016) has well focused to the growth of livestock sector in the days to come.
- The farmers have noticed that forage supply is very scarce, particularly during October to March.
- The Milk production drastically drops out during these months because of limited and insufficient feed resources.
- Until recent years, forage/pasture production was an incidental or conventional to the main business of farming in Nepal.
- This was undoubtedly because the process of converting the forage of livestock product was very inefficient mainly due to the low level of productivity of our indigenous stock.
