- It is defined as an open region of natural grasslands over which animals roam and feed.
- In contrast, pastureland is a piece of land where plants or grasses are grown.
- Land on which the potential plant community is, composed of native grass, shrubs as well and valuable forages.
- Such lands include the natural grasslands, savannah, and certain types of woodlands, mainly used for grazing.
