- The extension agents’ role is to help farmers to discover, develop and evaluate relevant information for solving the problems.
- This often will include information from many other sources which has to be integrated with the research information to develop solution which help the farmers to achieve their goals more efficiently.
- ToT can be best approach when technology is best suited and ready to use for example a new plant variety becomes available which is resistant to major plant disease, but does not require different cultivation practices from those of the varieties currently in use.
