About Lesson
Cell
- Size ranges from 0.1µm to 5 µm (bacteria) or 10-50 µm in animal cells.
- Cells are again divided into prokaryotes (having a single nucleus) or eukaryotic ( having a nucleus and sub-cellular organelles).
Prokaryotic cell
- Size ranges from 0.1-10 µm.
- Spherical (Cocci), rod-like (bacilli), or helically coiled (Spirilla) shaped.
- Two separate groups i.e. Eubacteria and Archaebacteria.
- Eubacteria include Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and Cyanobacteria (Photosynthetic BGA).
