Components of electron transport system:

  • The electron transport system is made up of the following enzymes and proteins:
  1. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD).
  2. Flavoproteins (FAD and FMN).
  3. Fe-S protein complex.
  4. Co-enzyme Q or ubiquinone.
  5. Cytochrome-b
  6. Cytochrome-c1.
  7. Cytochrome-c
  8. Cytochrome-a
  9. Cytochrome-a3.

All the above enzymes are found in F1 particles of mitochondria.
