  • In 1935 AD-establishment of Udyog Parishad (development board); After World War II- announcement of 20 year plan; In 1949- initiation of national committee for formulating 15 year plan but never come out; In Oct, 1955- Royal proclamation of First Five Year Plan (First Draft); In Sept. 1956-Second Draft.
  • Therefore, actual planned development in Nepal started only in 1956 when First Five-year plan launched. Many other attempts were failed because of political instability in the country.
