About Lesson

a) Agricultural Inputs Cooperation (AIC):

  • Agricultural inputs corporation (AIC) was established in 1965 under the corporation Act 1964 to procure and distribute high quality and improved agricultural inputs to the needy farmers at a reasonable price and on proper time.

 

 

AIC objectives

  • Import chemical fertilizer from the international market and distribute throughout the country,
  • Produce and process recommended improved varieties of seeds and distribute throughout the country,
  • Import, locally procure and distribute agricultural chemicals and implements wherever needs arise.

 

b) Nepal Food Corporation (NFC):

  • NFC was established in 2031 Marg 17 after the bifurcation of Agriculture Marketing Corporation. The function and objectives of this corporation are as follows:
  • Effective execution of HMG’s food policy program,
  • Collection, storage, transportation, and distribution of food grain in reasonable price in food deficit areas.
  • Management and supply of food grains and other daily consumable goods,
  • Creation of buffer stocks to meet the internal demand of food grains,
  • Management of Godowns, for collection, storage and distribution.
