Advantages and disadvantages of the biological control method
Advantage

- Once they get established, they continue to perpetuate themselves and maintain equilibrium for many years.
- Even if those initial expenses are high, it is economical in the long run.
Disadvantage
- Highly trained and technical persons are required for the searching, and rearing of parasites and their release.
- It is very expensive to explore, export, multiply, and establish in new areas.
- Unpredictable changes in climatic conditions may impair the efficacy of pathogens and natural enemies.
