Advantages and disadvantages of Mechanical control method of insects
Advantage
- It utilizes home labor and low-cost equipment
- It is a most feasible method in certain places, e.g. kitchen garden
- It does not pose danger and residue problems and other adverse side effects
- It gives immediate results
Disadvantage
- It is more laborious and time-consuming
- It is impractical on commercial scale
- It is quite old and out of fashion
- It requires repeated uses; small pests cannot be seen and pests inside the plants cannot be controlled.
