Application methods of Insecticides/ Pesticides

  • Band: Apply dust or liquid over, along the crop, or around the structure.
  • Basal: Use dust on soil or spray just above the soil surface.
  • Broadcast: Spread dust or liquid uniformly in an entire area
  • Crack or crevice: Spray chemicals in cracks and crevices where pests live.
  • Dip: Prepare liquid in a vat and dip plat animal or object in it.
  • Directed: Aim at a portion of plants or animals.
  • Drench: Saturate the soil or give oral treatment to animals.
  • Foliar: Apply to the leaves and new shoots of plants.
  • In-furrow: Use dust or granules in the furrow before planting.
  • Over-the-top: Spray or dust on the top of the growing crop.
  • Pour-on: Pour the liquid along the middle line or back of the animals
  • Side-dress: Apply dust or granule making a furrow near the root zone.
  • Soil application: Use dust or granule to the soil
  • Soil incorporation: Use tillage or disc to mix the pesticide thoroughly in the soil
