Application methods of Insecticides/ Pesticides
- Band: Apply dust or liquid over, along the crop, or around the structure.
- Basal: Use dust on soil or spray just above the soil surface.
- Broadcast: Spread dust or liquid uniformly in an entire area
- Crack or crevice: Spray chemicals in cracks and crevices where pests live.
- Dip: Prepare liquid in a vat and dip plat animal or object in it.
- Directed: Aim at a portion of plants or animals.
- Drench: Saturate the soil or give oral treatment to animals.
- Foliar: Apply to the leaves and new shoots of plants.
- In-furrow: Use dust or granules in the furrow before planting.
- Over-the-top: Spray or dust on the top of the growing crop.
- Pour-on: Pour the liquid along the middle line or back of the animals
- Side-dress: Apply dust or granule making a furrow near the root zone.
- Soil application: Use dust or granule to the soil
- Soil incorporation: Use tillage or disc to mix the pesticide thoroughly in the soil
- Spot treatment: Spray or dust chemicals in a small area of land or crop.
