Poverty and human poverty
- Poverty is defined as the condition of not having sufficient resources.
- The resources can include:
a) Physical, as in health and mobility.
b) Mental, as in the basic literacy skills to deal with the tasks of everyday life.
c) Emotional, as in the capacity to control and choose responses to a situation.
d) Support systems, as in friends, family, can provide assistance in crisis.
e) Relationships, as in people who are nurturing and set a good example.
f) Spiritual, as in a belief in divine purpose not necessarily participation in organized religion.
